On the morning of June 24, the director of SERC-Chile, Rodrigo Palma, gave a unique presentation. Accompanied by Professor Marcelo Matus, he explained how solar energy works to an attentive audience of 5- to 6-year-olds. The children, students in Pre-Kindergarten C at the San Ignacio de Alonso Ovalle School, learned how this form of energy works using solar-powered toy cars, flashlights, and a windmill.
