On Friday, November 13, SERC Chile inaugurates its Distinguished Lecturer Program with the participation of Dr. Claudio Cañizares, professor at the University of Waterloo, who will present “An Overview of Distributed (DER) and Renewable (RES) Energy Resources”.
Dr. Cañizares will provide an overview of DER and RES technologies, their benefits and challenges, key characteristics, applications to the power system, and development within the Chilean context.
The Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) will bring international cutting-edge research, which is essential for the country's solar development.
There are 12 talks in total. The next speakers are Vijay Vittal (School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering at Arizona State University); Federico Milano (School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University College Dublin); Antonio Gómez Expósito (School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Seville); Delfina Muñoz (CEA-INES, France's National Solar Energy Center); Radovan Kopecec (co-founder of ISC Konstanz and member of the Association of European Renewable Energy Research Centres).
SERC Chile's DLP offers the possibility of obtaining a certificate of attendance for those who verify participation in at least ten lectures.
