With the aim of analyzing and discussing the main challenges and development options for solar energy in Chile, the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences (FIC) at Adolfo Ibáñez University, through its MCI program in Energy and the Environment, will host the academic seminar “Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic Technologies: Key Components for Chile’s Energy Development” on Thursday, September 4, at its Peñalolén campus.  the academic seminar “Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic Technologies: Key Elements for Chile’s Energy Development.”
The event will feature a distinguished panel of experts, including Corfo Executive Vice President Eduardo Bitran; Senator (Independent) and Chair of the Senate Mining and Energy Committee Alejandro Guillier; Peter Israel, Managing Director of Origin Energy Chile; and Sergio Jarpa, Technical Vice President of Marubeni LP Holding B.V.
Following the presentations, there will be a roundtable discussion moderated by faculty members from the School of Engineering and Sciences. The seminar is supported by SERC Chile and Origin Chile.
