Dr. Samir Kouro received the “2018 IEEE-AIE Outstanding Engineer” award, presented by the Chilean Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry (AIE) and IEEE Region 9 (Latin America).

The award –presented on December 5 at the “2018 Electrical, Electronics, and Automation Industry Meeting”– has been granted for more than 10 years to recognize an engineer with distinguished experience in the field of electrical and electronic engineering for their professional development and contributions to the industry and innovation.

Kouro possesses recognized research expertise in areas such as power electronics, photovoltaic and wind energy conversion systems, and electromobility applications, which has resulted in significant national and international honors.
