In order to discuss and analyze the main challenges and development options for solar energy in Chile, the M.S. in Energy and the Environment program at the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences of Adolfo Ibáñez University will hold the seminar “Solar Thermal and Photovoltaic Technologies: Key Elements for Energy Development in Chile” on Thursday, September 4, at its headquarters in Peñalolén.

An outstanding panel of experts—including CORFO Executive Vice President Eduardo Bitran; Senator Alejandro Guillier (an independent senator and Chair of the Senate Mining and Energy Committee); Peter Israel, Managing Director of Origin Energy Chile; and Sergio Jarpa, Technical Vice President of Marubeni LP Holding B.V.—will participate in the event.

Following the presentations, a roundtable discussion moderated by faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences will be held. The seminar is supported by SERC Chile and Origin Chile.
