On the morning of June 24, Rodrigo Palma, director of SERC Chile, delivered a unique talk. With the assistance of professor Marcelo Matus, he explained how solar energy works to an attentive audience of five and six-year-olds. The students, from Pre-kindergarten C at San Ignacio of Alonso Ovalle School, learned how solar energy functions using solar-powered toy cars, flashlights, and a windmill.
