On the morning of June 24, Rodrigo Palma, director of SERC-Chile, gave a talk with a unique twist. With the help of Professor Marcelo Matus, he explained how solar energy works to an attentive audience of 5- and 6-year-olds. The children, students in Pre-Kindergarten C at San Ignacio de Alonso Ovalle School, learned how solar energy works using solar-powered toy cars, flashlights, and a windmill.
