Energy interconnection in Latin America is projected as a key element for the energy transition in the region. This process, which involves the integration of power grids from different countries, would not only allow for optimizing the use of abundant renewable energy resources, but also strengthen resilience against fluctuations in supply and demand, as well as enable the export of green hydrogen and derivatives.

However, this effort faces complex technical challenges, such as infrastructure compatibility, as well as political and economic barriers that require a high degree of cooperation among nations. Therefore, this seminar focuses on addressing an updated perspective on these crucial topics, providing a space for discussion and collaboration among experts, authorities, and representatives of the energy sector.
