Energy interconnection in Latin America is seen as a key element in the region’s energy transition. This process, which involves integrating the power grids of different countries, would not only optimize the use of abundant renewable energy resources but also strengthen resilience in the face of fluctuations in supply and demand, as well as enable the export of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

However, this effort faces complex technical challenges, such as infrastructure compatibility, as well as political and economic barriers that require a high degree of cooperation among nations. For this reason, this seminar focuses on providing an up-to-date perspective on these crucial issues, offering a forum for discussion and collaboration among experts, authorities, and representatives of the energy sector.
