The presentation of the paper “On the Control of a Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Plant under Non-Uniform Insolation” by Miguel Torres, Carlos Baier, José Silva and José Espinoza, won the best presentation award for its session at the IEEE IECON 2014 conference, held in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A., from October 29 to November 1, 2014. The work evaluates the performance of a control strategy for a large-scale grid-connected photovoltaic plant using multicell converters as a current source and shows the effects of uneven current production by the photovoltaic modules.
