Representatives from each of SERC Chile's research lines analyzed potential areas for future cooperation.

On September 25, in one of the halls of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Chile, members of SERC Chile held a meeting with representatives of the Fraunhofer Research Foundation, a German-Chilean organization that promotes, develops, and executes applied research in various industrial sectors.

The workshop featured the participation of two Fraunhofer delegates; Rodrigo Palma, director of SERC Chile; Alejandra Matus, General Manager of the center; as well as researchers Ana María Ruz (line 1), Claudia Rahmann (line 2), Héctor Galleguillos (line 4), Lorena Cornejo (line 5), Claudio Agostini (line 6), and Pilar Moraga (line 6).

The meeting began with a brief presentation of SERC Chile's mission and work, led by Rodrigo Palma, who highlighted the formula used for measuring results.

“We do not only pursue research, but also aim to provide knowledge to society, so as to contribute to a new understanding of the use of solar energy,” stated the Director.

The meeting continued with an overview of the objectives, projects, methodologies, and challenges established by each research line, as presented by their respective representatives, followed by an open discussion where potential cooperation links were analyzed and progress was made in defining exclusive study areas for each entity, with the goal of avoiding duplication of efforts.
