Representatives of the six SERC Chile research lines analyzed potential areas for future cooperation.

On September 25, at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the Universidad de Chile, members of SERC Chile met with representatives of the Fraunhofer Research Foundation, a German-Chilean organization that seeks to promote, develop, and execute applied research in various industrial sectors.

The following individuals participated in the workshop: two Fraunhofer delegates; Rodrigo Palma, director of SERC Chile; Alejandra Matus, general manager of the center; and researchers Ana María Ruz (Research Line 1), Claudia Rahmann (Research Line 2), Héctor Galleguillos (Research Line 4), Lorena Cornejo (Research Line 5), and Claudio Agostini and Pilar Moraga (Research Line 6).

The meeting began with a brief presentation on the work and mission of SERC Chile, led by Rodrigo Palma, who highlighted the methodology used to measure results.

“Our goal is not only to conduct research but also to provide knowledge to society, thereby contributing to the understanding of solar energy use,” stated the Director.

The meeting proceeded with a summary of the objectives, methodologies, projects, and challenges proposed for each research line. These were presented by the respective representatives, followed by an open discussion to analyze potential cooperation and define specific study areas for each entity to avoid duplication of efforts.
