The University of Chile and the University of Tarapacá are organizing this year's Summer School, “Dialogues on Intercultural Integration and Development,” held from January 23 to 27 in Arica, featuring academics and artists leading various workshops.
SERC Chile is participating in one of the School's workshops, titled “Solar Energy for Sustainable Development.” This workshop debuted on Tuesday morning, the 24th, with a talk by Roberto Román, a member of the center's Academic Outreach Council.
Before 45 workshop participants, the professor addressed various topics, including: what solar energy is, its potential applications, how it has come to occupy a prominent position within NCRE, and the future challenges of this new source of wealth.
