On October 16, researchers from Line of Research 2—Luis Morán, José Espinoza, Claudia Rahmann, and Miguel Torres—along with Rubén Peña from Line of Research 1, visited the 100 MW Amanecer Solar CAP photovoltaic plant, located 40 km from Copiapó. The facility features over 314,000 photovoltaic panels installed across approximately 280 hectares and has been delivering its total energy output to the Central Interconnected System (SIC) since February 16 of this year.
