Luis Morán, deputy director of SERC Chile, presented on the status of solar energy research in Chile at “The transformation of our energy system”, the solar seminar organized by Fraunhofer Chile on May 27.

Before an audience of more than 150 attendees, Morán, Principal Investigator of Research Line 2, described the composition of SERC, the research lines, and the progress achieved in each of them.

The seminar began with a presentation by Eicke R. Weber, director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, ISE.

This seminar was held within the framework of the inauguration of the Fraunhofer Chile Research Center for Solar Energy Technologies, which took place on May 28.

Presentations were also given by Hugh Rudnick from PUC; Carlos Finat from ACERA; and Rodrigo Escobar, Thomas Fluri, José Miguel Cardemil, and Joachim Koschikovski, all from Fraunhofer.
