Until December 8, 2024, the Center of Excellence created under the FONDAP Project No. 1523A0006, SERC Chile, supported by the National Agency for Research and Development of Chile (ANID), is opening a new call for the 2024 – 2025 SERC Chile postdoctoral fellowship.

Generating our own energy is not an illusion. Research is advancing, and today we can speak of Peer to Peer (P2P) systems, which operate under a scheme of households acting as prosumers, with the capacity to generate their own electricity, whether through solar panels or as electricity consumers. 

SERC Chile researcher and academic at the School of Sociology of Universidad Diego Portales, Tomás Ariztía, explained that the concept of "just transition" has three dimensions: distributive, procedural, and recognition, and that the main objective is to be able to "manage costs and benefits equitably in all energy-related areas".

SERC Chile led an important international seminar where technical, political, and economic challenges were debated and analyzed to advance the path toward the region's energy transition.
