The seminar held in Santiago featured the special participation of Guillermo Jiménez-Estévez, a professor and researcher at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.

The Chilean-German Industrial High School of Frutillar will play a central role in this strategic alliance between the education sector and industry.

The project, conducted by SERC Chile researcher Jorge Yáñez, uses photochemical energy to purify and recycle the water used for the oxidation of red ore and its subsequent reduction to metallic copper. 

The appointed commission visited six primary and preschool educational institutions to provide them with the opportunity to acquire knowledge about solar energy.

In a brief meeting, the director of SERC Chile presented advances of the Solar Energy Center to Governor Orrego.

According to SERC Chile researcher Francisco Gracia, it is possible to identify some significant barriers to the massive deployment of green hydrogen-based solutions.
