The Chilean-German Industrial High School in Frutillar will play a leading role in this strategic partnership between the education sector and industry.

The project, carried out by SERC Chile researcher Jorge Yáñez, uses photochemical energy to purify and recycle the water used in the oxidation of red ore and its subsequent reduction to metallic copper. 

The committee in charge visited and toured six elementary and preschool institutions to give them the opportunity to learn about solar energy.

During a brief meeting, the director of SERC Chile briefed Governor Orrego on the progress made at the Solar Energy Center.
